    Great idea. 'Yay' from me

If I were designing them, I would make a sticky on the top of each regional forum, that posts a list of breeders, privately owned reptile shops, and/or rodent suppliers in the region.

    Re: Local Breeder Database

I love the idea! I'm out in Minnesota and I hope a feature like this could put me in contact with local breeders when I get more snakes next fall

    Re: Local Breeder Database

There IS a Frappr map of site members.....I just have to find the CD w/"My Faves" on it. (I did a lot of Bp.net stuff from work, and saved all the breeder sites/frappr map/etc. onto CD before I left the company when laid off.) Gimme a chance and I'll get back to you.

    Re: Local Breeder Database

Something like this would be good, as long as participation is optional.

To a certain extent, you can already see who is in your area by looking at a member's location (a few lines under their avatar). Many people have it either blank or set to something ambiguous "Location: Here", but it is available to those who want to share that info.

    Re: Local Breeder Database

it doesn't have to show where members are, just what region they are in so they can talk about shows, find breeders, etc. It can be a general section, it would just make things easier.
