    mouse shaking tail

    i was wondering if anyone else has seen this today i notice oe of my mice was shaking its tail like a rattle snake does anyone know what this is all about thanks jason

    I think it is usually out of fear. Whenver we use to pluck out the mice to feed, if we didnt get them on the first swipe, they would start tail shaking, and would tail shake more when confronted with a snake.

    If not fear, perhaps a mixture of fear and defensive aggression.

    Yup, not that I've ever owned mice, but my rats do it when they are upset by something, although it is rare to see them actually do it.
