Never analyze TV. Just take it in.

When it's an entertainment show? Yes....that's the point. If you think watching surviverman will make you a wilderness expert, you're crazy.

I am confused. So some of you think that it is OK to hunt and kill only when no other food source is available? unless you are a complete vegetarian, you aren't making too much sense.

People hunt for food all the time.... There is nothing wrong with that. Why is this case any different?

Though he's not 100% stranded. He has a camera team follow him. I doubt his crew would like to starve and what not along with him. Wouldn't surprise me if they had food and water.

The American guy on Survivorman (can't remember his name) is stranded.

I think the point that is being made is that the show is a big bogus ball of snot. He is ten feet from a 7-11. If he wants to munch something for shock value and to up the disgust factor then eat a chicken taquita that has been on the grill for the last 8 hours.

    That stuff is seriously NASTY!!!

But to grandstand and kill a wild animal for the sake of ratings is not so cool.

Buddy is NOT starving and is doing this for ratings. As long as he has a camera crew nearby it is for effect only. IMHO that is no different than hopping the fence at a reptile preserve and beating a few blue iguanas with a rock...

    Just my 0.02 cents.

Yes, he is doing it for ratings.... I guess I don't see it as a bad thing.

Do you feel the same about fishing TV shows where they keep the fish they catch? What about hunting shows? Do you think the same thing there? To me they are all the same. They are entertaining AND educational. Way better then most of the crap on TV now a days, that is for sure.
