Unhappy Lonely young ASF, wat to do with him?

I just picked up my first ASF colony this week, I have 4 tubs, I had the young male (whos about 2 weeks old )with a prego and the dad, but the prego just had her babies and the dad was attacking the young male in defense and lost one of the babies, dont know which of the 3 ate the baby

tub 1- mom, dad, 2 day old babies
    tub 2- 1.2 adults
    tub 3- 1.3 adults
tub 4- young male, all alone :

Should I take one of the females out of tub 1 or 2??? I really want to get some breeding happening, I know the young male cant do nothing but dont want to leave him alone and I know he cant be in a tub with another male, they'll just fight.

Can mice hoppers be with a 2 week old ASF since there the same size or is that just a stupid thought? I have a bunch of mice, was thinking of taking one small female mouse hopper to keep him company until hes big enough to with the older ASFs.

All suggestion would be appreciated, thank you

You can try putting the ASF in with mice hoppers. I have had a lot of good luck with doing exactly that. I have even had ASF moms foster mice, it worked out very well. It's important that ASF have company...they do get depressed...sadly, some will refuse to eat and eventually die

    good luck

well with that said...... listen to whats going on

my asf mom has eaten 2 of the 7 babies she just had, and doesnt look like shes caring for them...

I have a mother mouse still with her 6 baby hoppers that are 3-4 weeks old

could I put the Just born 5 asf babies, and the young 2 week old male asf, with the mother mouse and her hoppers since they are still feeding of of her?

If you are going to try that, just make sure to scent the ASF with the mice first... take them and *roll* them together in your hand to get the hopper scent on the ASFs.

Re: Lonely young ASF, wat to do with him?

Hm, I could not give you an experienced answer since I have never tried it that way.
It's possible, I suppose. You may try just one first and keep an eye on it. Remove the mom mouse, rub mouse litter on an asf and put it under the pile of babies. Return mom and watch them. If it works, try the same with the others!
    Worth a shot.
Let us know how it goes.
