Can someone answer a newby question about red tails?
I am a newby. I have a children's python and a ball python, but I LOVE red tail boas. I go to the pet store here to buy my frozen feeders and I always look at the snakes. They often have Columbian boas. I asked the guy if they are red tail boas and he said, "well, red tail boas are beautiful and much more expensive." I, personally, think these Columbians are gorgeous. Can someone tell me the difference? I know the red tails I have looked up online are more of shades of brown. These Columbians are greys with red tails. Is a columbian just a less desired color? Thank you ahead of time.

uhh well, It is a Columbian Red Tail Boa... so
Perhaps he was talking about BCI vs BCC. BCC will usually keep their colors a little better, but I've read BCI's are much more manageable.
I'm not a red tail boa guy, so someone can please correct me if I'm mistaken

Yeah BCC's are True REd tails and in most cases are larger. BCI's are what you see 90% of the time in petshops. They atay smaller and in most cases are cheaper.
