    Glass burn?

I had a friend tell me that a snake can rub up against the glass to much and get sores. I have a 20 Gallon Long tank and my snake is all over the place, climbing the vine and rubbing up against the glass. Can this hurt him?

Also, i have a mesh top (mostly coverd with vinyl.) with a CHE and a moonlight bulb stting ontop of it- inside adjustable ceramic socket lamps. The mesh gets really hot to the touch and he can probably get up to touch it. I know your not saposed to have bulbs INSIDE the tank cuz he can get burnt but what about the metal mesh top???? Ive seen many pictures and posts of this same set up however no mention of this. Am i worrying to much?

    Re: Glass burn?

Ive never heard of a glass burn, or seen anyone come to the forum with the problem so I doubt that it is true.

Sorry I cant help you with the heating problem, when I used tanks I only used heat pads.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat
