    seasonal shopping?

So I want to get myself a baby BCC. Right now I'm leaning heavily towards the surinames. Is there a pretty standard time when these breed and thus a better time to buy than others? I'm not so worried about it being less expensive at a certain time just more selection.

I don't know a whole lot about the actual breeding process, I'm still just learning all the different possible genetics. Eventually the process may be more of an interest but right now I'm just lookin for some nice pets. Do boas generally breed in the winter and thus the babies are usually available starting in spring? Are there good and bad times to buy, or is it pretty much just whenever I'm ready to?
    Thanks!

    Re: seasonal shopping?

I'm not well versed in boas, but I can tell you that there are ALWAYS snakes to buy. As for when it is best to buy as far as selection goes, yeah it probably makes sense that there is a bigger selection as eggs are hatching and a little less after the season has ended. However, I don't think that the selection will be that much of an issue unless you're going after a particularly expensive and specific snake.

I'm pretty sure that in general the breeding season is beginning(or even has begun) for BCCs, so if you wait some months you should start to see some brand spankin new hatchlings around.. someone else chime in to verify?
