Just got a AP T5 and need to figure out how to heat it...

I just bought a used Animal Plastics T5 cage (36"W x 24"T x 22"D). The seller said they used a heat panel for it, but it does have nice grooves on the bottom for heat cable. Does anyone know the best way to heat one of these? I'll be using this one for a Bredl's python - there's a perch and shelf installed as well - so the snake may not always be on the bottom of the cage. Also would like to put some lighting in. This one doesn't have any holes cut in the top for clamp lamps to sit on.

    Any advice on these?

    Thanks!

    Eddie

Has no one ever used this cage before? I thought AP were pretty popular. Up to now I've only used glass tanks and Sterilite tubs, so any advice on how to best heat this cage is really appreciated.

    Thanks!

It is all how you want to heat it...
you could slap a big UTH under that thing, or make a internal heat shroud.
    your choice.

    I don't like heat cable.

I use flexwatt on my 4x2x2 AP. (I think the T12?) I basically just slap the flexwatt on the bottom and there is a groove for a thermostat probe to go right on top of the flexwatt.

I like this idea, do you use the 11" flexwatt?

    Thanks!
