I'm a Newbie
I just aquired 2 Ball Pythons from a friend of mine. I came accross his site by accident. I have spent the last hour and a half on this forum reading and learning. I have discovered a lot of information that is going to be very helpful in caring for my new family members. I have owned many pets through out the years but never any reptiles. I suspect Iwill have many questions that will need to be answered in order for my guys to live a happy and healthy life. I will try to post pics as soon as I can so that I can get some feed back. Thanks for the help I have already gotten from previous posts and thanks in advance from what I will learn in the future.

Welcome to the forum!!
Ask any questions you need to and several of us will chime in!! This site has a ton of great info and we're all always learning new things and growing in our role as snake keepers! It's a very cool education!
Also, we LOVE pictures- thrive on them actually- and so we'd love to see your new snakes

Yes they are. These guys have been in the same enclosure for about the last 3 years. I was not to worried about it until I came across someones post that said "they are not cuddling, they are competing for the best spot in the enclosure" after watching them this makes perfect sense. I have a 29 gal tank that I am going to empty and clean up so they have there own space. I basically took these away from a friend because he had no intrest in them. They had no heat(they do now) they had no light(they do now) they had no hiding(they do now). I am trying to educate myself as quickly as possible to give them the life style they deserve.

Re: I'm a Newbie
WOW thanks for the help and encouragement. From everything I have read ... NO DOUBT I'm in the right place!!!
I hope to post pictures soon as I can.
I can not even discribe how much more activite they are since they now have heat. When I first got them they were COLD and unresponsive. Now they are ALIVE and active. It looks like the larger one is about to shed ( his eyes are cloudy). With the info on here I think we can make this happen without event.
Thanks,
