nice animal but looks a tad underweight so keep getting him those live pinkies - rats will do him better and they like the smell and taste of rats more!
You can keep him in that tank just fine but cover the back and sides with paper so he cant see out. And put more plants in it. Plastic plants from hoby stores work great and are cheap. The more stuff you put in the safer he will feel.
