    Re: Post your felines!

I never thought I'd be a cat person, but we picked our two kitties up from an adoption event, and they've brought me around. Here's Siegfried and Roy! (Because really, what else do you name two male cats from Vegas who groom each other all the time?)

Here they are the night we brought them home...crazy rescue lady and all her cats smelled like cat urine, so they needed a bath. They didn't think they needed it, but they did.

Here's Siegfried, or Ziggy, who is very much a cat. He rules the cat tower and deigns to demand attention from us when he thinks we deserve it.

Here's Roy, the best cat I've ever known. He comes when called, loves to snuggle, and will do anything for love. You can scratch him as hard as you would a dog, and he loves it. He's a former alley cat, so he's missing the tip of one ear, has some scars, and is deathly afraid of garbage trucks, plastic bags and anything that makes sudden movements. I love him to death.

    Re: Post your felines!

i figure i should join in and show my kitties.

First is Sammy. he is a purebred Persian with a pretty impressive family line. he isn't very social due to poor socialization when he was a kitten. because of that, it took him almost a 1.5 years before he'd actually come up to me and ask to be petted. He won't sit in your lap though. he doesn't have the super scrunched up persian face, so he doesn't have the eye problems that a lot do.

next is morgan. he was born 6/6/06 so my wife joked that he was the devil kitty. far from it though, he is the biggest lap cat ever. he loves to sit your lap and purr away.

and here is a bad shot taken with my cel because he was being all cute and sleepy.

    Re: Post your felines!

Everybody's kitties are gorgeous. I used to be more of a dog person, but now I'm an equally dog and cat person due to my series of wonderful experiences with cats I've owned. Here is my current kitty, Keller.

Cats are always cute when they sleep.

She's about 5 years old. We adopted her from the SPCA in NY back in October of 2007. She was born deaf, but that doesn't bother her one bit. We recently moved from New York to Washington and she sat in the passenger's lap the whole way with no troubles at all.
We're getting this little guy on Monday. (these pics were not taken by me)

I found him on CL and knew I had to have him. He is also deaf and is having a hard time dealing with the current owner's children. I think Keller will do well teaching him how to cope with not being able to hear.....and I don't have any small children that will sneak up on him.
Here's another sleeping picture because they're always cute.

I don't know what we're naming him yet because my 7 year old daughter asked to name him, so we'll see what she comes up with. Suggestions are always welcome though.
