your humidity should be at about 60 percent plus or minus a couple percentage points.

Re: Can humidity be too high?

I've been trying out various methods with my glass tank setup. the things I'm doing:
    1) misting. At the moment it seems that two or three times a day(early morning, late afternoon, before bed) is what I'm going to need to do

    2) heat lamp over the water bowl. Because of this, I'm going to give the waterbowl a good wash every day in addition to changing out the water, just to be safe and reduce chance of bacteria growth in the cage.

    3) I have some cardboard covered in aluminum foil that I use to cover up part of the exposed screen, helps keep moisture and heat from leaking out just enough to be useful (make sure to leave exposed screen area to get air flow, you don't want to suffocate a snake!!)

This is what I'm doing for my 30X12X12 glass cage, and I've been maintaining 50-60% humidity since I got it all set up last night.

There are other ways to improve humidity such as putting damp moss of some kind(I forget the exact name, if you're interested in trying that make sure you find someone to tell you the right stuff to use) in there.. hopefully someone else here can give you more suggestions if you need them

Re: Can humidity be too high?

I have absolutely no way of lowering my humidity right now.
It stays between 80-85 percent, in my TOWN.
I have more than enough holes, and theres no condensation.

    Dehumidifiers are crap.
Sooo, basically, theres not too much I can do. Worry about humidity when condensation forms or the bedding is moist. ;]

    -a second water dish
    -adding moss
-spraying that moss with warm water in a spraybottle
-covering 1/2 of the top of your aquarium with plexi-glass or foil

-using under tank heating pads instead of lamps, but i am not sure if u even are using lamps or have an aquarium. But those tweaks have solved my humidity issues in the past.

Do you use a glass cage? Do you use heat lamps or ceramic heaters? Somewhere that is exceptionally humid, those might be a solution rather than a problem for BP comfort!

    I use a rack system.
So none of those are an option. :]
