retic with little sores on his side

yea i just bought a tiger retic and i was holding him today and noticed a sore on his side ,,,its only like two scales big but i felt down his side and theres two more little bumps that i think are going to look like the other one,,,,, but when i had bought him he was with 4 other retics,,, so could it be just where a nother retic had bit him or is there something i should be worried about...

    thanks

Re: retic with little sores on his side

It could be a number of things. If it looks like a small scrape you could probably put some antibiotic ointment on the wound and keep your snake in a clean, dry environment. If it looks worse (deep, oozing, puffy, or discolored) then I would definitely recommend a visit to a herp vet. Either way, a vet visit along with a fecal float would probably be a good idea especially if your snake was sharing a cage with other retics.

    Good luck!
