Scale rot??
This only appeared after she shed two days ago. I inspect her pretty carefully daily, unless she recently ate, so I'm pretty sure that's when this appeared. Her shed was a complete perfect one, by the way. I thought maybe it was a scrape from trying to get the skin off or something because it's red, but I tried to wash it off today and nothing happened. Today was the first day I could touch her since I fed her right after she shed. Now I'm starting to think it could be scale rot...
The thing is, her tub is very clean. I keep her on dry, clean paper towels at all times. When I spot any mess she's made, I clean it up and wash the tub out, her hides, and water dish with soap and water. Humidity ranges between 55-70% depending on the day. I thought scale rot was caused by a dirty enclosure? I thought I was doing a good job of keeping it clean . Also, I thought scale rot first appeared on the belly, but her belly is perfect.
So is this scale rot or something else? If it's scale rot I've heard of a lot of treatments that can be found around the house. Would something like neosporin really work? Or do I need to take her to the vet?

Re: Scale rot??
I doubt it normally scale rot begins on the stomach. That looks like scrapes IMO but keep a close eye on it and good luck

I only feed her f/t. It could be a scratch from getting her skin off then?

Re: Scale rot??
Well it didn't wipe off the first two tries. I was trying to be really gentle. Since you guys said it wasn't likely scale rot, I was less scared of messing with it, so I got some soap and water and really tried to scrub it off. I thought she'd get angry at me for the first time, but she remained very calm and just curled around my hands. After a few minutes I was able to get it off! It kind of came off in a couple pieces, like a scab or something... But once it was off, the scales looked good as new. She still looks good today, so I don't think I hurt her.
