eyes are diffrent size
k heres the story, my roommate bought a subadult spider from lll
about a month ago, fedx dropped it off and first thing we notice is one eye is about half the size of the other the larger looks normal but the smaller one actually looks like its being held in by the scales , they said its probably some stuck shed in his nose or somthin and it should clear up after a shed well it didnt and the guy hasnt eaten either in about a month and roomys gettin nervous and talkin about force feeding (wich im against)
his husbandry is fine temps/humid/secur etc, weve tried pinkies, fuzzys, small rats, mice, all alive or prekilled or F/T
he did one small greeinsh poop and urates sofar and thats about it he seems reallly stressed out and im afraid force feeding is gonna put him off feed indefinantly
so 2 part question wtf is up with the eye thing, has anyone seen this before and if he poops we can assume he,s fed before shipping at least should he force feed
(im still against it) or wait another month or so(i prefer this)
oh and course the snakes name is Igor cause of the eye lol

Re: eyes are diffrent size
One eye smaller than the other is a genetic defect.
I would DEMAND a FULL refund immediately if this was not disclosed prior to the sale.
Anyone that sells a snake with a small eye without disclosing that it has a genetic flaw is SCUM. Post them on the BOI so everyone know who not to deal with.
A problem like that should have been disclosed (and not tried to be pawned off as a stuck eyecap).
This happens in snakes sometimes (same as snakes with only one eye) and the animal should be kept as a pet, culled, or given to someone to raise with the condition that it NEVER gets bred.

no its not my pet,my roommate prolly wont shell out 20 bucks for a fecal float but who knows
i knew it was genetic! thanx for confirming, they didnt disclose it prior to sale either, but on there behalf they did offer to take it back and he declined (course he thought it was a shed problem at the time also) hes had it to long to return it though, they offer a 3day return but a month? course they might not like gettin flamed on the boards either
so ask before you buy @ http://lllreptile.com/

Morphs like Spiders aren't cheap, over here in Uk you are looking at £600+ for a spider hatchling last time i checked. I know BP's are less expensive in US, but it seems strange he will lay out money for a morph, and not a few dollars for a fecal test?????

Re: eyes are diffrent size
A fecal is definitely in order.
It's not eating and has one eye smaller than the other.
It may have hidden problems as well.
I would be at the vet immediately if I opened the tub and saw a pile of green crap in there. That's not normal.
Out of curiosity, was this spider priced at typical retail or did the seller give a steep discount.
I would think it would be heavily discounted since it can never be used as a breeder.
Your friend needs to get a fecal to the vet asap and whether or not the person likes it, you need to make people aware of someone selling defective spiders without disclosing the information on it.
BTW, a $20 fecal is nothing compared to what it may cost if there is a problem and it gets worse.

Get to the Vet!
as folks have said, for a fecal at least
but also I'd like to recommend you get a solid opinion about what is up with the eye.....posting pictures of the eye would be a good start. you described it a little but until we see a picture we can only guess at whether it's an illness, injury, bade eyecap shed, or genetic defect.
