    Hide size question

Just a quick question about hides. Currently I have two identical rock hides from petco. I want to buy the hides from reptilebasics.com. My question is what size should I get? My BP is about 2 feet in length and about 220g.

Never bought them but you could probably just email reptile basics, they are usually very good at getting back to you

thanks. I'll try that. The website doesn't give any info on what size ball python each hide is for.

    Re: Hide size question

Smaller is better when it comes to ball pythons and hides ... even if it looks like the hide is "floating" on top of the snake, it's better than being "too big".

Ideally, if you can get a hide that fits the ball python so well that you can't even fit a finger inside when the snake is in it, you're pretty close to dead on.

I'm sure that Rich from Reptile Basics will be able to help you find the right size ... he's a good guy and super knowledgeable.

    Hope this helps.

For such a wee one, I'm sure that Rich's small will work well until your snake is wearing it like a hat

As others have suggested, just get in touch with Rich and he'll be able to help you determine correctly

    I agree,

I picked up some mediums and large sizes at my last show from him. The medium was good for my snakes in the 1000-1500g range. The large size is working well for my 1500-2000g snakes.
