    How many holes for air?

I have my new baby in a little plastic tub. We drilled a grid of small holes at each end for air circulation. 25 holes in each end. Holes about an eighth inch. Is this enough air? If anyone has an opinion tonight, it would be great. Having a hard time heading for bed as I am concerned my baby won't have enough oxygen...

I'm sure that will be enough air for the baby to be ok overnight, so you can go to sleep now!

The number of holes depends largely on what number works right to keep the humidity stable where you want it.

Ok. I am nodding off sitting here watching him. I keep cracking the lid to make sure air gets in. I think the humidity will be pretty good. There is a bit of condensation on one side....

    Thank you.

Re: How many holes for air?

For ventilation you need no holes in the lid (it's best to just have them in the side and helps humidity stay up).

When you say in each end what exactly do you mean? You do not need 50 holes over two sides of the tub.

I have about 9 holes in the long sides and 6 in the small sides. Some people prefer more holes, but this keeps my humidity perfect and my temperatures in range. :]

The holes are on the short sides of the tub. None in the lid. Humidity is maintaining, temps maintaining. I'll take pix tomorrow.

It's probably fine then, don't worry about it. :]
