A purple king?
I just stopped by my local reptile/fish store to pick up some feeder rats. While waiting I took a look at there snakes and saw what looked to be a purple motley/striped king snake. I asked the lady working there what morph the snake was and all she said was that it was a king snake but didn't know what kind.
So now I must know... I've never seen a king look anything like that! Was tempted to buy it since it was so awesome and different looking, but pushed myself out the door before giving it a second thought.
Sooo anyone know what kind of morph of king snake this may be?

Re: A purple king?
Sort of, tho a bit darker and hardly any yellow. Wish i had gotten a picture of it but I didnt have my camera on me. Maybe I'll go back on my lunch break tomorrow and snap a pic of it. I'm thinking it may be a king cross.

Re: A purple king?
The links that Cassandra posted show what I imagined when reading your post. I've also seen them called lavender albinos.
Another possibility if it was much darker is that it was one of the brown phase snakes instead of the better known black ones. Sometimes the brown can have a sort of purplish cast to it.
EDIT: Oops, you posted while I was typing, so I guess it wasn't one of the brown ones.

She is lavender with thine yellow banding and dark purpleish eyes (just hard to capture)
