Thanks!
I have designated saltwater and freshwater photo tanks that are spray painted black on the back, to get the black background. Though I really only shoot with the black background on saltwater fish, I use rocks and other decor on freshwater. They also have a custom built lid/light system to allow access to move fish around and a flip down lid to block all spill light. I use 3 flashes, 1 580EXII as the master and 2 430EX's set as slaves. All 3 flashes have Stofen diffusers.
I hung black plastic from the ceiling to the floor around all the tanks to get it as dark as possible to help eliminate glare and reflections. I also wear black cloth gloves and a black shirt so I don't get any bounce back onto the glass causing any reflections of myself to appear.

Very nice sounding set up man! I tried it with an Alienbee B400 overhead on a boom arm, and a Brolly Box over the flash head, but it didn't work out all too well LOL.

Very nice Chris!!!
I absolutely love flame wrasses, and that male is a beauty! Are these in your personal aquariums or do you shoot for a shop?
I took my best ever aquarium shot the other day, but yours still trump my meager attempt.
All of your work floors me! I'll get there someday.
