    rodent size

I just fed my 3 month old ball a adult mouse and she is exploring her cage as if she is looking for more (normally she just goes into her hide after feeding) does this mean i should try to feed her another 1. I live in South Africa and the only rodents the pet stores in my area sell are adult mice and adult rats so i dont have much of a selction when it comes to size

    Re: rodent size

Welcome to the board! Rest assured that you will find great help here and a wealth of information!

General rule of thumb is that prey should be 10% (and some even say up to 15%) of their body weight and/or no larger than the widest part of their girth. Hang tight and you will get a better answer soon!

It may help others to answer your question better if you provide more information such as bp's size and setup.
