Talking Best State To own Snakes

    Okay Gang,

How is things over in the U.S

I am potentially planning a move to the United States in the Future.

And i was wondering which state would be the best state to start your own breeding set ups....in regards to laws and ease of getting equipment , local giant breeders..e.g Ralph DAvis... or Mike Wilbanks.

And also whats the best state to go out field herping

    Cheers

This is just for general interest.

I have to agree-I live in SC and as of right now we have no pertaining to keeping the big constrictors.

Michigan is pretty good. Most laws are city by city, even then... not much for laws.

well my 2 cents is don't move too far north cuz i live in Maine and it's definitely not the ideal place to do anything herp related (at least not in my town...) it gets frreeeezing here and the petstores are uhm... well they leave a lot to be desired. i say go somewhere that will make it easy to regulate yer temps and humidity but thats just my desire to move somewhere other than MAINE (and i'm moving to NH so YAY lol) either way, good luck with your move! let us know where you decide to travel to!

oh and it just popped into my head, daytona florida is where they have the biggest reptile expo (i'm no expert on all that, so ask around, i KNOW ppl here can give you the ins and outs on that) so maybe daytona would be fun for you? i'm SURE that place is somewhat herp friendly

Even so city laws on pets tend not to be stringently enforced. Pick a state you like and move there, as long as you don't have anything that is venomous you shouldn't have many problems.
