    Kyna's First Clutch

For those of you that remember "Punkin", the little very unsized 18 month old female BP we took in a long while back - well she's all grown up now and a first time mamma!

We bred her to Malachi, our 100% het Albino (produced by Adam at 8Ball) so we're hoping for a female heavy clutch of possible het Albino's. Kyna laid 7 perfect eggs with a total clutch weight of 654 grams. All with tons of very good veins.

She laid them sort of odd. You can see in the pic of her on her eggs that she's got them in two groups. One group was just a regular few eggs, the other group (the one protected by her tail) was like a sausage linking of eggs. LOL A few came apart as we moved them but a few are still linked almost end to end. Kyna never does anything like a "regular" Ball Python so why I would have ever expected her to lay a usual pile of eggs, I don't know. Even when Mike pulled out her tub, instead of any sort of maternal protective instinct, she just gave Mike a quick hiss, then immediately started to come off her eggs to hang out with him (Kyna's always acted more like a boa than a ball python personality wise)
