I love conures... then again, the only one i've ever had contact with was the evil sun conure we have at work... but I don't think he's mean, he just has... personality

Congrats! I'm glad he broke the feather plucking. My stepmother had a bird that plucked all the time. The only place he had perfect feathers was on his head. She took him to the vet once and basically they could collar him so that he couldn't pluck, but as soon as the collar would come off he'd start plucking again. So we just did our best to keep his cage warmer. My dad held him once and said he felt like a warm rubber chicken.
