Re: leucistic rat? pix
That is a Lucy! The Lucy Texas Rats have dark eyes but at the right angle they have a red tint. Is that a male or female?
There is a Pink eyed Texas Lucy rat but I am unsure of the genetics of the pink eyes.

I'd say it's a lucy...the red eyes in the photo is probably a flash result.

Re: leucistic rat? pix
i do not know if its a male or female.
and i do-not "pop" my snakes.
i personally dont care what sex it is because im not breeding.
and the only time that its eyes turn "red-ish" is when im right infornt taking pictures. then they look like these.

Re: leucistic rat? pix
It may be just the flash that makes the eyes look red however there are leucistics that are also albino and do have the red eyes.
Your snake is leucistic. Here's a pic of mine.
