I find it pretty funny. I mean, this little thing that's more than 100times smaller than me is trying to scare me! It's hilarious when you think about it! To other posters on this thread: Playing dead is the first unusual thing most people heard about Hognose snakes, but in captivity it isn't a good thing if they do it. If you get a Hogger, expect it to hiss, form a hood, and/or make mock-strikes, not play dead.

Our friends have an adult western who automatically plays dead...but no musking...no hissing...it is adorable
