    Re: moving with herps

I don't know how long of a drive it is, but when I moved a couple weeks ago (about a 3 1/3 hour trip) all I did was take out all the objects from their tanks, hides, waterdishes, etc. I did leave the substrate in, and shipped them that way. My BP i did put in his sock for the ride, but the King, and the Leopard Geckos were fine going up in their tanks.
I think the biggest thing is making sure there is nothing that can hurt them. I'm sure you could just as easily poke some holes in a tupperware container, or get some cheap gladware ones at the grocery store, and put each in one of those. That could work too. For me it was a relatively quick ride and it was warm out so I didnt have to worry about keeping them warm. They've all adjusted pretty nicely . Both snakes have shed and eaten since the move. It doesnt seem like anything phases my geckos, they were happy to get their houses back, and some worms that night.

    I hope this helps
