    Doesn't like to hide

Anyone have any ball pythons who would rather lay at the back side of the hide or cram themselves in between the hide and the side of the tub rather than just be in side of it's hide?

My big spider did that for a bout a week. I figured she liked that space so I put her hide over it. Now it's all good!

I've got quite a few that no matter what, they will get behind the hide, and sandwich themselves between the hide and the back of the tub. As long as they are comfortable, I let them do what they like.

p.s. Trevor, are any of those snakes eating yet? They have me concerned.

Our Albino liked to curl around the hide for about the first month we had her. Now she goes in side the hide, but she is still perfectly happy our in the open with a look at me kinda look!

    Re: Doesn't like to hide

Well, my new 970g het albino girl prefers laying up against the back of the tub under her fake plants instead of in her hides, but since the hides were too small for her, I can understand why she shoved them aside. The hides are gone and extra plants in now and she seems quite happy.

(FYI the QT tub she's in isn't very big, only 26"x15", so I couldn't put appropriate sized hides for her in there. At least this tub is bigger than the display tank she was in at the store...)
