Well I can't think of any other reason why a Hogger would be named "Gonzo". The Gonzo I've heard about eats tires to the tune of "Flight of the Bumblebee", loves chickens, and has this weird long nose. Is that the Gonzo you're referring to?

    My snakes:
0.1 Kenyan Sand Boa ~Nephthys~ (aka "Linky")

    In a better place:

If you need/want to know anything about Hognose snakes, just ask me.

I love his purlple belly. I would name him Pebbles. I used to have and Eastern Hogger but he never ate. I even rubbed lizards and frogs on the pinkie.

Re: My Hogger (DIAL UP DEATH)

We just brought home a 3 year old Western male. He is eating (I am told) one fuzzy mouse f/t every 7 days.

I was thinking of Gonzo from the Muppet Show

    Awesome snake!
I don't know if the venom helps them digest or just subdue their prey.

Re: My Hogger (DIAL UP DEATH)

I named one of mine hamlet. i thought it was a good name for a hog.
Anyway, it is a normal, but probably a possible het for red phase albino. Normaly when a het, or possible het, are born from a red phase or albino parent they have a very deep red color. I held back two normal possible hets from my high red phase albino breeding project which didn't produce anything. They came out an amazing red color. Both stayed that way for a few sheds and a few months later it was more of a brown, but still has an amazing red.
I think yours might be red phase, which is awesome. They are harder to find than green phase and look nicer (in my opinion). I also am partially color blind and can't tell the difference in the green...
