Just ordered a new hatchling rack!
After much debate I decided to try out a new hybrid rack system from ARS, I ordered the ARS-1039 hatchling rack the other day (39 tubs). All my other ARS racks are the 'old style' solid steel construction. This one has plastic connectors on each corner and plastic tops above each tub instead of metal. It will be interesting to compare the two to see which one stands up better to the test of time. The biggest advantage for me was that the new hybrid racks are much cheaper than the solid steel and with this particular model it fits perfectly in the last little space I have in my snake room. If I get another rack after this one I'll have to find another room to put it in, I'm thinking maybe a corner of the living room LOL! I'm really excited to get this rack and I'm even more excited to start filling it with hatchlings!!

I also just discovered 'ReptiZorb' liners for the ARS tubs. I ordered some for the hatchling rack, my 5040 rack and my 7030 rack to try them out. Apparently they are like super absorbent felt paper that's pretty stiff. Should work good in the trays with the cup holders to keep them in place. I'll probably put coconut husk in there only when a snake is in shed to boost the humidity. Seems like cleanup would be easier with these pads in the tubs. I'm always on the hunt for the best substrate LOL. Especially now that I'll have an additional 39 tubs.

Can you upload some pics of the reptizorb? I currently use packing paper and cut my own....but willing to spend extra for pre cuts.

I actually just ordered the ReptiZorb so I haven't seen one in person, I'll post a photo once I get it in. I actually will have to order another rack in a few months, right now I have 35 eggs in the incubator, almost enough to fill this rack, assuming they all hatch (some probably won't). And I'm not even half way through the breeding season!
My next rack will be an ARS-1065, that will give me an additional 65 tubs, so a total of 104 hatchling tubs. Plus I have an extra 8 tubs open in my ARS-5040 rack. So I can have112 hatchlings this year with the space I have. I'm guessing that will be about perfect for my production. I'll probably wholesale a bunch of Normals to clear out some space too. Of course I don't want to count my snakes before they hatch LOL.
I'm also hoping I don't run out of incubator space. Looks like I have a bunch hatching in about 4 weeks so hopefully they will hatch faster than the snakes can give me more eggs. I do have a few other smaller backup incubators I can use but I'd prefer to use my higher end incubator for everything.
