    Hunger strike is over.....

Some of you may remember a bought a few snakes off craig’s list in January. One of the males, a spider, hasn't eaten since. I have been offering food weekly, but no go. I've tried rats and mice - live and f/t. I even left a wean rat in overnight (with rat chow) - still no dice.

Last night I put a f/t rat pup in with him and, of course, it was still there this morning. Just picked up a few mice for another picky eater and dropped one in with the spider. I checked on him 5 minutes later and it was half way down! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I quickly dropped in mouse number 2 and he ate that one as well.

I knew he would eat when he was ready, but it is still a big relief!

From his picture, you can tell he was on the thin side when I got him...
