    So here's the short verson...

We got a new dog. He is 2½ years old and was going to be put down but I told his former owner that I could take him instead. and here we are

The white one on the left is our Dogo Argentino from before.

Looks like a good dog. I have a Doberman that I adopted at 2 years old from a man that was going to put her down and she is now 8. I also have a Dogue de Bordeaux. I considered getting a Dogo Argentino at that time. Is she FCI registered? Is she schutzhund trained? I don't know how it works for German Shepards in Sweden. Is it similar to Germany?

I have no idea how it works in Germany but schutzhund training isn't very big in Sweden. I think that you would need a permit, like for a gun. The family that I got him from wasn't into training at all so I trying to get him going in a lesh without pulling at this point. He wants to make it right but he just dont get it
His father tough, he's a nordic champion police dog.

I was going to say, he looks like a police dog, the way he carries himself LOL. (parents are police officers, so I've been around them too)

In Germany a German Shepard isn't allowed to be bred without having schutzhund certification. Well ,German Shepherds are certainly highly trainable. I cant believe it on the occasions that someone intends to put down a beautiful dog like that.

Wow! Both your pups are Beautiful!
I too have a rescued German Shepherd. The owners were going to just drop her off on the Highway. We took her instead to have
her put down. She looked so sick. She was 1 1/2 yrs. old & only 33 lbs. Well, that was about 8 yrs. ago. We love her like crazy!
We also adopted a little black Pug to be her baby.
If you are into message board like this one, there is one I've been on since I got my girl. There is a ton of info & nice people to talk to there. I can post the URL if you would like?
