So i went fishing yesterday down here east of atlanta. i live in a pretty populated area and there is a nice little pond behind my work place. it is in the middle of some woods so NO ONE ever fishes or goes back there. anyway, so i set up my poles and cast out a hook with a couple juicy nightcrawlers on it. Well while i am waiting watchin the bober i light up a cigarette, but it was really windy so i had to turn around to light it. When i turn around there is 4 foot black rat snake trying to sneak up on me. i was shocked, i have never had a wild snake try to sneak up on me, it was seriously about 5 feet behind me. i picked him up by his head and checked him out. he was all covered in scars but looked pretty healthy. i put him down to try to take a picture of him and when i put him down he took of into the water. he sat in the water floating looking at me periscope style. it was by far the coolest experience with a wild snake that i have ever had.
oh and here is a crappy picture i tried to take on my phone.
