The pastel pied from my line is thinking about kicking in for me late in the season, but that isn't something I'm relying on.

You can be sure I'll produce plenty of clutches next year that are completely my line!! I'm looking forward to it, because I really do believe they have some unique characteristics....

Ah....I didn't even think about that I forget that your girls from your line are still pretty young. I hope I didn't come off as suggesting it was a bad thing that your crossing your line, I was just a bit curious as to what goes on when a new line is proved out.

And play some Barry White or something for that lil pastel pied male! It will be pretty cool to see how your line comes along. Good luck with all of your clutches this year!

It was a good question! I'm looking forward to establishing my line really well next season. This year I should definitely prove compatibility beyond any doubt.

    08_clutch#007 - 4/30/08 - 7 eggs - Pastel Het Pied (Kobylka line) & Piebald (Kahl line) X Normal

A couple tidbits about his clutch, this is a really nice ch girl sold to me as an "apricot." She also has a very striped belly. Only bred 2 times total, once by each male.
