    Random Tick Question

Hey everyone, I have a random question regarding ticks. Can anyone answer it?

Ticks live on the skin...how do they deal with the snake shedding? Do they unlatch, move out of the unshed skin, and then re-attach themself to the snake?

    Thanks!

Sometimes they are pulled off and get stuck in the shed. Sometimes they are attached firmly enough that the skin simply tears and they stay put. Sometimes they get pulled off and die or are still intact in which case if they are not stuck in the shed they will look to reattach.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?
