    A neat feature I found

I was searching around different forums when I came on an acronym that I was unfamiliar with. LUCKILY, it had a pop up to take me to the glossary they have for their site! I was impressed and think it would help out with a lot of confusion that new members have regarding our little codes. (ltc, wc, asf, etc)

It's in the first post, "LFS"
I hope this works, check it out

Edit, I dont know if Raj would be able to do something like that for our site, but it sure was a nifty idea.

Re: A neat feature I found

I didn't want to make a whole new thread for this, but the search funtion minimum 4 characters limit is really ticking me off.

Looking for any thread with the words: per, two, one, asf...etc you cannot search for!!! GRRR!!!! It's nearly impossible to find any pertinent information on ASF unless the word African or Soft happens to be in the same thread.

This has bothered me for quite some time, I can understand how hard it is for anyone new to use the search feature when I can barely handle dealing with the stupid 4 character limit.

Can this be change to maybe 2 or 3 minimum? Really would save me a lot of stress trying to manually find the actual thread I'm looking for.

Re: A neat feature I found

In order to search sites that either A) don't have searches B) limit your search (ie: must have more than 4 characters) C) have crappy searches all you have to do is use google.

put into google search site:www.ball-pythons.net "search term"
replace "search term" with term you want to search.

for example to search for egg on www.ball-pythons.net put into search site:www.ball-pythons.net egg

hope this helps some people out. this can also be used for any site obviously

If the search word is a three letter word like egg or ASF, try including the wild card character "*" ie ASF* and egg* respectively.
