    Odd scales...

Now i have a question. I just recently got a ball python, and I am now noticing that he has some dry scales. They are on the bottom of his neck. They aren't discolored, but curled back, and they make a sound when he moves, well sort of. I was wondering why this is occuring. I have the humidity at 45% or 50%, and i'm not quite sure when he last shed, but it wasn't in my presence. Does anyone know what it is?

We need pics but this sounds very much like retained shed to me. Give him a soak and then it should rub off very easily.

Could be a stuck shed could be an injury could be 1 of 900 million things. Best bet is if your worried about it have him seen by a vet. They be better equipped to answer your questions and offer treatment options.
