    stepping up to pups

At what weight does everyone step up their babies to rat pups?
I have some around 150-200 grams that have been pounding 2 rat fuzzies for 5 weeks straight so far.

Lol, I actually had this same question. I have a baby ball, I put some pictures of him eating, and everyone told me the prey was too small. The pet store I bought the rat at told me to feed him pinky rats, but they look a little small for him.

Idon't have the weight, I'm taking him to the vet on thursday, but here's a link to him eating, kinda hard to see the prey, but tell me what you think please.

that's a 10 gallon tank for size comparison.

    Ok how about this.

300+ gram female. What size for her?

450 to 500 gram male. Size for him?

Size of rats in grams would be nice. As everyone calls rat sizes a lot of different things.
Sounds like I've been feeding too small of meals.

A rat pup is equal to an adult mouse, which is good size.

On rodent pro it goes pinkies, fuzzies, pups, weanlings, then small. The pups are pretty good size.

Small rats of 55 grams every seven days. Medium rats (80 grams) for breeder females and adult snakes.

    Re: stepping up to pups

Wow my female is getting a 25 gram rat pup and it looks just about right since she's a little thin. and she doesn't eat more than 1 at a time. She just won't eat it.

The male eats a 40 gram rat. And it looks large for him. But he will eat and eat and eat if I offered.

Sounds like I need to bump em all up a little.
