    scenting for hognose

    if i have to end up scenting to get my hognose to eat, what types of animals could i sent with? i.e. could i use a blue tongue skink to scent?

    Is it a Western Hognose? If it is, you really should not have to scent it. Try placing it in a very small lidded container with a towel or shirt over it and the mouse of appropriate size. Leave it for an hour or so and check back. If it's an Eastern, then you may have to scent if it's very young or not used to rodents. Mine is young and would be willing to eat anything put in front of him. He has yet to miss a meal for me. Good luck!

    it is a western... i hope i dont have to end up scenting...

    i just tried feeding it last night and it refused, when should i try again? ill try the deli cup method... any other ideas if this one doesnt work?
