    Check out this gift!!

I just HAD to show everyone! My daughter is 7 years old and in 2nd grade. They had a little party deal at school and exchanged valentine's, you know, the dinky little cards, that, if you're lucky, came with some sort of candy or even a tattoo...

Well, my daughter's "boyfriend" presented her with this item. It's a beach towel with her name monogrammed into it, cute as hell, but come ON, should this be happening THIS early?? Her Daddy isn't too thrilled about the whole deal, but I'm having trouble understanding that 2nd graders exchange gifts like this!! Should I start to worry???

Exactly what I was thinking!!!! I wasn't even aware they had "boyfriends" in 2nd grade!!! When I was her age, I seem to remember classifying "boys" in the same regimen with worms and bugs.....lol, no offense, fellas!

Im far from having kids, as I am on 22, but I can remember when I was in 2nd grade. you try to impress them. Hell, I gave this girl a ring my dad gave me, so its understandable. I would just think it as a nice gift. LOL

lol, well I'll certainly be keeping my eyes open from now on!! I think the thing is absolutely adorable, and I do believe a thank-you note is in order, but I'm just shocked. It's not like they are going "out", or even talking on the phone for that matter!!! She's still my baby, ya know?

I guess I'm just kind of surprised that a parent would do that....
