    sperm retention

Can't find the thread where the lady had a BP who laid after being the only BP in the house for I believe, several years??? Does anyone know the outcome???

Talking Gecko stuff with Emily got me wondering about sperm retention in BP's...

Thanks Gin!!! That's not the one I remember.... this was a long thread, a lady... If my memory serves, there was a pix or a description of a wooden hide? Maybe it was a dream!?!?

She said she offered a feeder while the mom was maternally incubating...the last I remember she was going to see if they were fertile...

I know the one you're talking about, but she was talking about self fertilization, the female had never been with a male, ever that she knew of. I forget the scientific name she called it, or I could search for it.

Parthenogenesis-actually a very common mode of reproduction among geckos and teiid lizards-in fact, many species are entirely female!
