Microsoft offers 44.6 Billion dollars for Yahoo!

    http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080201/microsoft_yahoo.html.

Another interesting thing I saw on CNBC's finance channel. One stock holder who owns 6% or 79.66 million shares, made over 500 million dollars today or half a billion.

Yeah, Yahoo's stock shot up like 46% overnight. Anyone who bought enough Yahoo stock this week just made a lot of money.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

I also heard that they are offering 60% over current market price for shares. Sounds like a hostile takeover to me.

It pretty much is. They are offering a 50/50 cash to stock split. Microsoft can do what it want when it wants when its throwing around 45 billion dollars.
