I got my new ball to eat on the first try!!!

I got my new ball yesterday at a local petshop. I decided I would try to feed him yonight cuz he seemed to be very comfortable with me and his new home. I read this site up and down before my purchase, so I would like to thank you all for your herp knowledge. As soon as the mouse was introduced to him he quickly struck. I was nervous he might not eat for awhile
so its a releif to seem him devour that mouse. Thanks again for everyones help/\

Re: I got my new ball to eat on the first try!!!

Congrats.. sounds like you got lucky there. Remember, don't ever handle a snake that has just eaten.. wait 48 hours. You'll probably want to limit your handling for the first week or so anyway.. let him get used to his new home.

Oh, and pictures are mandatory on this website.

Re: I got my new ball to eat on the first try!!!

Yeah, I would let him settle in for awhile (even a few weeks.) I would only really remove him for cage cleaning, brief periods. I know it is tough; I have a female in quarantine now that I'd love to take out and take 1000 pictures of.. but that's not happening!
Oh, welcome to the forum also
