Very nice spider! Nice pics too, what did you use for a background?

Re: Picked up a new Spider this morning!!!
Does he display any of the typical Spider behaviors? Head wobbling, gazing, etc etc? Answer honestly please... some people are definately in denial about their spiders "issues". The reason I ask if that I'd like to add one but after hearing about the issues they tend to present I'm hesitant to purchase.

Thanks Rich, the back ground in most of the pictures is actually the reflection in the mirror. I have a large sheet of Black velvet. I hang it on the wall and across the table I am setting the pictures up on. I then sit a mirror on top I hang the velvet in the background so that the only reflection you get from the angle of the picture is the velvet it makes it appear all black as if there is nothing in the background. I also use the velvet with the animal directly on it when not doing the mirror pics. I like it alot because it does not reflect the flash and has no pattern or anything to draw your attention away from the subject. The KEY is use a lent roller before your shoot....LOL, or you will end up with all kinds of stuff in your pics.

Actually I have been paying very close attention to him to try an notice those characteristics. Honestly nothing at all. Though I got to handle the animal a good bit before I purchased him. The only thing odd about him is if you roll him over he will sit there upside down. All of my other snakes atleast turn their head back over very quickly. I think that even if there was the head wable or other quirks I would still have got a spider. I have seen only one Spider that I could honestly say I noticed the wobble, and I have seen ALOT of spiders in person.

There's that.
I blogged about my "spin" on spiders a while back ... it might be of interest to some ...
