    Clark sold Fluffy!!!

There's an article in today's Daily Oklahoman newspaper about Bob Clark having sold Fluffy to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! I am shocked!!! For those of you who don't know, Fluffy is Bob's reticulated python that is billed as being the largest snake in captivity. He raised it from a hatchling.

I cannot believe he sold her!!!!!

That's shocking! That really is the one snake I wouldn't think he'd part ways with.

    Re: Clark sold Fluffy!!!

True, I can see why he would want to keep her. For me, though I'd be attached, it would be hard to turn down $35K for her (on top of the $7k he received for letting them exhibit her for the last few months).

If it were my snake, I'd be ok with it, knowing that she was going to have excellent care and be able to educate people on retics and other large constrictors.

    Re: Clark sold Fluffy!!!

I agree with the above post.

Yes she is a fantastic snake and it would be so so hard letting go of something you raised for so long....she is going to an awesome home. She has a HUGE enclosure and my personal opinion is a Zoo can properly house her as opposed to a 8x3x3 or a 6x3x3 for the rest of her life.

    Go fluffy!!

I agree it would be very hard to sell her but the money was great and the zoo is great. I have seen the exhibit numerous times it is very cool and Bob knew she would be fine. I am glad she is here for good. She was also a huge draw for the zoo this summer and will continue to be a huge draw.

Different snake of Clarks from what I know, correct? I thought Bob had a few "Fluffy's", like a very large Tiger female that was originally put on loan to the Columbus zoo... I could be wrong.

Well, I am glad I got a few pics of my youngest daughter and Fluffy before she left!

I am glad she is going to a good home though.

just read this myself about 10 minutes ago. I agree that it would be hard to let go of such a beautiful animal but the money was good and she has a great enclosure for the rest of her life.
