There's almost always something bubbling up somewhere. New laws or regulations regarding herpetoculture are being passed at many different levels...city, county or state. Maybe even nationally, at times.
It's our responsibility, as reptile keepers and enthusiasts, to be aware of these actions as they come up, and take the steps necessary to make our voices heard...to educate our lawmakers and let them know the full ramifications of what they are considering.
This thread has been stickied for the purpose of informing others of such actions that may be pending. If you are aware of something you'd like to inform others about...please respond to this thread and include whatever links and information is pertinent...including contact info for specific lawmakers if applicable.
For discussions about specific pending legislation, please start a new thread so that critical information in this thread does not get buried.
