Femal bp not eating.
I am not aware of the size of my bp yet because its hard to tell without a gram scale, its coming in the mail. but i go to feed her and shes refused scince the 10th i think it was. whats wrong? my other one has same living conditions and shes fine and eating 2 every time offered. 3-4 days offering scince there both in need of some meat. (muscle)
Anyways, i had a light on my snake at first, then i took it off. could that be the problem?
i also put them both into smaller tubs --- about 12qt, so i can control heat and humidity easier. also for comfort.
tell me what you think? should i put perhaps the head of a small fuzzy in her mouth and see were she goes from there?
also i have a hide in her tank. the tank is smal enough to were i dont think i need it. what do you think??
posting pics in a min.
sorry spelled female wrong in the header.

Re: Femal bp not eating.
It hasn't been long. You might want to leave her be a while to settle into her new quarters, make sure she has plenty of quiet and hiding time.
Snakes are different, and sometimes they just decide not to eat. It's way early to consider assist feeding, IMHO.

Quick question. If the tubs are smaller (like the ones in the pictures) is it okay to have only 1 hide?

I have no experience with tubs, so I can't help you with that.
I have notice with other tub setup some have two hides some have one.
With her not eating, I'd treat her like a new snake (full 7 days of acclimating to the new enclosure) and then try feeding. If she refuses wait another 7 full days. Try again. I know it's nerve wracking to not have her eat, but by trying every 4-5 days it maybe stressing her out even more.
Best of luck and keep us updated.

ive seen other racks and some people dont even have the hides. I dont think it matters as long as the tub is dark and temps are right.

Re: Femal bp not eating.
As the first person replied it has been to early to tell and u need to give it some time before you worry. Snakes r very resilient my first B.P. rip went 9 months one time without eating and then just ate like crazy after. They r very sensitive to temp. changes and if they decide to hibernate it could be as long as a year. Being as young as she is I would maybe try to do a force feed if nothing happens in a few weeks. Keep us posted and good luck. Oh and beautifull patterns on her.

Re: Femal bp not eating.
Those are two diff snakes in the pics, the first one is the non eater the second one goes well.. CRAZY on the mice. I had a light on the first one and then took it off when i switched to smaller tubs, you suggest i put the smaller back on the light for a week and try feeding at the end of the week?
