Bell Pastel color change
Well, my pastel has always been bright... and orange.

Currently i was told that orange will turn into brown, but after his shed something happened that shocked me to the extent that i couldnt believe, he went yellow on me?

I was wondering if this has been seen in other mark bell pastels? He did not come directly from M.B, but both of his parents did. The top picture is two sheds apart from the bottom two, same camera, same settings, and same rooms( the only thing i can think thats different is the backround, the top one is of him on a blanket spread out on the floor, and second he is in my hand.) Although it cant be backround/ camera/ setting because by just looking at him he just glows now.
lol, im not complaining, but shouldnt they be turning darker, or is this normal?

Re: Bell Pastel color change
Sometimes they brown out. Not always... just looks like your boy's starting to come into his adult colors. And they are going to be some HOT adult colors. Nice!

Re: Bell Pastel color change
Yeah, i was just wondering if all mark bells did that or just mine, normaly the bells i see are more of that off grey color. In the top photo, he was orange and browner, in the next shed, he was a wii bit yellower but alot browner, and after the next shed, wam, he turned into a butterfly(in snake terms) his brown was almost all gone, and yellow took its place, and now he has no orange left on him. Sad really, i loved his orange.

Re: Bell Pastel color change
Heres a short photo period between each shed
When i first got him- Very orange, little brown.

After his first shed with me...hmmm....wow, i didnt take hardly any pictures of him, or at least didnt up load them, heres the best one i have sadly, although i think this was right before he started to shed. as you can see, he is much darker, yellow(which you cant see in the picture well, i have no clue what setting i had these on. i must have zoomed in, that always ruins my pictures) and really at the time i thought he was going to go down hill from there.
and now, brown is now custard yellow, and all orange is gone

Re: Bell Pastel color change
Looks like hes still a little guy... give him a year and see how he looks. When I got my pastel he was bright n yellow... after a year and several sheds the yellow on top got darker but he kept the yellow on the sides. I dont wanna rain on anyones parade I dont think one shed is anything to get excited over. Either way he still looks good.
