Possible Mealworm Food?
I have a container of fish flake food and a small bottle of frog pellet food that I have no use for. I was wondering if these are ok to feed to mealworms as I don't want them to go to waste. If not, then into the trash they go as I'm packing up to move and can't have a bunch of useless stuff being packed up.

You can give that to them.. just beware those foods tend to spoil very quickly when they're in any kind of moisture.

Those would be fine. A thriving meal worm colony makes for a good garbage disposal of dry foods my might otherwise throw away.

I plan on getting more leopard geckos and sugar gliders in the future so a good colony of mealworms is my goal. Thanks for the input. Now I won't have to throw it away.

Re: Possible Mealworm Food?
Mealies eat basically anything. When I was breeding them I'd get non-medicated chick starter at the feed store.. or bran. They just eat and eat and eat.

Oh I know. Thankfully, a lot of the things they eat I already have to buy. My first group of baby mealies are almost up to size. They are big enough to pick up now.

I may be weird but I think baby mealworms are really cute.

Ok, well not those. Those insects eat me alive. I'm like candy to them.
