    Our new Mojave!

Robin and Christie both made comments about a new snake that we picked up in Birmingham. Well here she is, and her story. I first noticed her and pointed her out to Monica (she's the Mojave manager at Bailey Reptiles), and we thought that she looked a little different. Her color is off and she has some strange pattern, so I asked Mike Jolliff about her. Mike told us that he picked her up as part of a package trade that he did at the Ohio show. He couldn't remember the guys name, but said that he had a pair of the Mojaves that looked alike. He really wanted the male, but as soon as he got to the guys table to do the trade, some other guy walked up and paid cash for the male. So Mike took the female, and a smokin Spider, and sold us the Mojave female. Mike told me he was going to try and get the guys name at the next show if he sees him. So, nothing is known about the parents, but maybe she'll throw some cool looking babies in a few years.

I took her picture next to a hold back "normal" looking Mojave female. Two different angles.

    Thanks for looking,

Thanks guys and gals. We didn't really need another Mojave female, but her looks just would not let me go home without her.

She reminds me of a pastel painting of a sunset, or something? Blush wine? Well again, she's just beautiful!

Very nice! Definitely a different sort of color spectrum for your standard mojave. If I saw her on her own and someone asked what morph that was, I wouldn't have known how to answer!

Thanks Laura and Judy. And Judy, I would agree, when I first saw her, I had to get confirmation from Mike that she was indeed just a Mojave and not crossed with something known.

Don't let cueball get ahold of her! He'd take jigsaw puzzle pictures of her and try to make us guess her morphage....all the while s******ing behind his keyboard 'cause he knows no one would think of "mojave" with those colors!
