    Took the opportunity tonight to take some updated pics of Doughty, our trinket rat snake...





    These guys are great little snakes. Fantastic temperament and eats like a champ. Need to find a girlfriend for him

    He should grow to be between 3-4 feet. Females grow a bit larger.
    I picked him up as a juvenile and he was about a foot and a half long, and I've had him for over a year. As for how long he is right now, I don't rightly know...he's a squirmy little sucker My guess is nearing the 3 foot mark.

    He is doing great, I remember when you first got him he was so tiny. Finding a girl for him should be easy enough, just be forewarned they though between 5-7 clutches a year, sometimes from one breeding!

    Finding a lady friend isn't as easy as it should be. I'm in Canada...
    I've seen a few males at shows and whatnot, but alas, no eligible ladies. Even my decidedly non-snakey bf is excited about breeding trinkets....Doughty is by far his favourite.
    I'll keep my eyes and ears open, though, and hopefully one day I'll acquire that special someone for the little guy.
